Dale Ready joined the Plumas County Fire Safe Council in July 2025. A Plumas County resident since 2003, he has long been engaged in community building and stewardship, inspired by the region’s natural beauty and strong sense of connection.

Dale was a local business owner from 2003 to 2021 and has served in a variety of leadership and volunteer roles, including President of the Feather River College Student Environmental Association (2004–2006), where he received a Student Sustainability Award in 2005, and as a board member of Plumas Arts from 2015 to 2022. He joined the Quincy Fire Department in 2014 and currently serves as Assistant Chief, a role he has held since 2023. Dale was named Quincy Firefighter of the Year in 2022 and became an EMT in 2024. He also volunteers with the Quincy Food Bank – CAN.

Through his work with the Fire Safe Council, Dale is excited to continue his dedication to public service, strengthening community partnerships, and supporting fire services and wildfire resilience efforts throughout Plumas County.
